Margaret Phillips

Margaret Phillips holds a masters degree in clinical psychology from the University of Tennessee.  She holds a competency certificate from the Institute for Family Studies in Sarasota, Florida, a two year program concentrating on structural, strategic, and generational emphasis. She has been a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists since 1986 and has been licensed by the state as a Marital and Family Therapist for almost 4 decades. 

She served with her husband as a missionary in West Africa for 4 years and served in ministry for 20 years with her husband, Gary.  They were married for 55 years until his passing in 2023. She and her husband have 3 sons, 13 grandchildren, and presently 4 great grandchildren. She is an active member of Christ Church Nashville and continues her long time passion for classical piano. Phillips is the author of Building Your Marriage Ark: Securing Your Marriage in a Sea of Uncertainty.  She is the sole proprietor of Soaring Christian Counseling.
